Grid Suite

A visual toolkit for designing, generating and inspecting computational grids for BOUT++ workflows. The Grid Suite combines interactive geometry design with grid generation and diagnostic reporting, making it easier to move from an analytic or custom plasma cross-section to a numerically validated simulation grid.

Generated grids can be checked against geometric, magnetic and numerical consistency tests before use, with visual reports designed to expose problems early rather than bury them inside a failed simulation.

Physics Validation Suite

Physics Validation Suite is an open validation framework for reproducible testing of fusion modelling and simulation software. It brings published reference data, benchmark cases, provenance records and machine-readable validation targets into a common structure that can be used across different tools and research workflows.

The aim is to make model behaviour easier to compare, reproduce and challenge, while keeping the source data, assumptions and validation criteria visible rather than hidden behind a single pass or fail result.

BurnLab

A high-fidelity 3D research environment for investigating local plasma behaviour under strongly self-heated, high-Q fusion conditions. By concentrating computational resources on a deliberately small physical domain, the project is intended to resolve plasma dynamics at greater spatial and temporal fidelity than would be practical across a complete device.

BurnLab is being developed as a general research tool for observing emergent structure, transport and plasma response without imposing a predetermined control behaviour or fusion architecture.

These projects are developed openly and are intended to improve through external use, scrutiny and contribution.

Bug reports, validation cases, technical discussion, documentation improvements and code contributions are welcome from researchers and engineers using the tools.
